For a few weeks now we've been dealing with sore, dry, chapped and flaky lips. It's not pleasant, it annoys us and it doesn't look cute.
Going from the extremely frosty weather into heated offices and homes, it's not doing anything great for our skin or our lips, so we're all ending up looking like chapped messes.
You may have also tried all the lip balms under the sun, but they're just not working - so you're going to need to do a full scrub.
You should only exfoliate your lips once a week at most as to not damage them - but exfoliating will seriously help your puckers.
This little DIY recipe will take a few minutes to mash up, but it's well worth it.
Here's what you need:
1/4 tsp brown sugar (or, like, a pinch, if you're like me and don't cook)
1/4 tsp honey
1/4 tsp coconut oil
lip balm
When you combine everything, just apply a think layer to your lips and let it sit for a few minutes. There's actually no need to scrub (it could create micro-tears). When the few minutes is up, just wipe off with a wet washcloth and you're sorted.
