They may have sold out Dublin’s 3Arena just yesterday, but now it has been reported that fans of One Direction are getting increasingly concerned about the future of the five-piece.
According to reports, Zayn Malik is apparently finding it hard to deal with the pressures of the spotlight and is hoping to step away from it. Reports this week have stated that the singer is “uncomfortable” with his fame and is “sick” of being in the public eye.
The rumour mill was sent into overdrive in the last few weeks as the singer missed some of the band’s public appearances.
“Zayn is stressed out and sick of his life being in the spotlight,” a source stated. “He isn’t sleeping well and seems exhausted.
“They are about to go on another world tour and Perrie (Zayn’s fiancée) is worried about how he will cope. She has asked the other boys to keep an eye on him. They are concerned for him too and regularly let him know they are there to talk should he need them.”
“What he finds especially hard is being away from Perrie,” the source told Grazia. “He is a family person and wants to spend time with her. But it is really hard when you’re in the biggest band in the world.”
Meanwhile, The Script frontman Danny O’Donoghue has reportedly given the lads some advice on staying together.
“If I was advising them I would tell them to stick together as long as possible. It should be the band against the world,” he told the Daily Star. “You have to stick together, protect each other and look after each other.
“Maybe they need an extended break, but I wouldn’t advise them to split.”
