Irish woman Becky Lynch is set to make history tonight as she headlines the main event during WWE’s WrestleMania 35.
Lynch, whose real name is Rebecca Quin, will be one of three professional wrestlers going head-to-head in tonight’s main event match in New Jersey.
She will go up against Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in the first ever all-female main event since WrestleMania began in 1985.
Born in Limerick and raised in Baldoyle, Dublin, Lynch began training as a professional wrestler when she was just a teenager.
She made her debut in 2002 and worked across Europe and North America on the independent circuit until she was forced to take a six year hiatus due to a head injury.

Lynch later returned to wrestling and signed with WWE in 2013. She has since developed her character and given herself the title of ‘The Man.’
Speaking to ESPN ahead of tonight’s event, she said that she has been training to headline WrestleMania for her entire career.
“It is the most incredible, humbling feeling in the entire world,” she said. “Because on one end, what happens after you achieve all your life goals? Have to come up with some new ones.”
“But in the meantime (…) I am about to main event WrestleMania.”
