A Dublin-bound Ryanair flight was diverted to Germany’s Cologne airport earlier tonight, following a medical emergency on board the aircraft.
Ryanair flight FR7347 was travelling from Bucharest and it is believed the plane diverted to Cologne Bonn shortly after 10pm.
A medical emergency caused the diversion according to BBC News and the flight is expected to arrive in Dublin later tonight.

In a statement, Ryanair’s Robin Kiely said:
“This flight from Bucharest to Dublin (9 Feb) diverted to Cologne after a customer became ill on board. The aircraft landed normally and the customer was met by medical personnel, where they disembarked for further treatment and the aircraft is due to depart to Dublin shortly. Ryanair sincerely apologised to affected customers for this short delay to their journey.”
