In the middle of their On The Run II world tour, the duo released the new album.
Following the musical trials and tribulations of Beyoncé’s Lemonade and Jay-Z’s 4:44, both of which gave an incredibly intimate and powerful insight into the relationship of the world’s most famous couple, their long-rumoured joint album was released late in the day on Saturday.
Beyoncé has once again “pulled a Beyoncé” with the surprise release of Everything Is Love, which on first listen, sounds like a make-up album if there ever was one.
The tracklist is as follows, with all songs performed by both Beyoncé and Jay-Z:
1. SUMMER
2. APESHIT
3. BOSS
4. NICE
5. 713
6. FRIENDS
7. HEARD ABOUT US
8. BLACK EFFECT
9. LOVEHAPPY
At the moment there’s no other details on the project, as far as writers, producers, samples or collaborators, but on the first listen, that does sound like Pharrell ad-libbing his way through the backgrounds of both ‘Apeshit’ and ‘Nice’, and then we can hear Beyoncé singing some of the lyrics to Dre and Snoop’s hip-hop classic ‘Still D.R.E.’ on ‘713’.
They also released the first music video from the project, the aforementioned ‘Apeshit’, on Instagram, which you can check out right here:
To hear the full album, you’ll need to sign up for Tidal, or you can check 30-second snippets to each of the tracks right here.
You can also check out the album cover below.
News of the sudden drop sent fans into hysteria and they’ve been talking about little else on Twitter since.
Nothing to see here, just Beyoncé and Jay renting out The Louvre for a music video, no big deal#EverythingIsLove pic.twitter.com/AMTO4VBzm6

I would love to hear the initial call made to the Louvre on behalf of Jay Z and Beyoncé for the ApeShit music video

FINALLY (after 225 years!) true art™ finds its way into @MuseeLouvre. So glad museums were invented for this moment. #APESHIT #EverythingIsLove pic.twitter.com/ThpP1VzVhT

Beyoncé skips the Met Gala and that corny Vogue photoshoot in the galleries “to take a vacation” but really goes to Paris to film a music video with Jay in the Louvre by themselves. She’s like “I see your Water Lily Pond and raise you The Mona Lisa”. That is what you call a Queen pic.twitter.com/m39LPWg0vU

Bey: “Watch your head.”
World: Why?”
Bey: “‘Cause that #Burberry stock is about to go through the roof.”#Beyonce pic.twitter.com/aM45yfXbme

Like, Beyoncé’s impressive in a million different ways, but the fact that NOTHING about her productions leak even when she TAKES OVER THE LOUVRE is some next level shit
