The postman (who wishes to remain anonymous) was said to have known straight away where the letter needed to go. It's not even the first time he's performed such a miraculous delivery, as one of his co-workers informed me of his triumph:
"Oh he's got the gift, that's for sure. I'd be torn between a few recipients of that particular letter, as the information is so vague, but not our [name redacted]. He nails it every year. Last Christmas, there was a letter with a picture of a little leprechaun etched on the front. We were all stumped until he came along. He smiled, took the letter and headed out on his route. I asked him about it a few days later and he told me the card was resting in its rightful place on the mantlepiece of Áras an Uachataráin."We continue to be astounded by the ability of Ireland's postal service.
