On Thursday, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar shared a photo of himself filling a dishwasher.
He included the caption: “… No-one gets away without packing the dishwasher around here.”
The picture showed Leo placing a spoon in the top drawer of the dishwasher while looking vaguely unimpressed.
Here’s the picture.
Understandably, a lot of people had a lot of questions about the photo.
Here are 20 of ours.
- Who took the picture?
- Did they discover Leo at the dishwasher and decide to take the picture themselves?
- Did Leo pose this way for the purpose of the picture?
- Has he ever filled a dishwasher before?
- What is that expression on his face?
- Does that colourful spotty bowl on the bottom drawer belong to Leo?
- Did Leo believe that when he became Taoiseach he’d get away with having to fill the dishwasher?
- If he’s just putting a spoon in, why are all the drawers out?
- What was he stirring with that spoon?
- Why is there a grammatical error on the sign above the dishwasher?
- Why does the Dáil kitchen look like it’s in a student flat?
- What the hell is with that top tray?
- Is there a chore roster in the Dáil?
- Did Leo get up early to get this picture taken?
- Who does the rogue hand in the far right corner of the picture belong to?
- Did Leo think this picture would make him more likeable?
- How long had the organisation of this picture been in the works?
- Did Leo’s PR team choreograph this picture?
- How much taxpayer money has been wasted on previously unseen pictures of Leo filling dishwashers?
- Does anyone have the number for Joe Duffy?
