It has been a few months now since TikTok – and the world at large – broke the internet with that feta pasta dish.

And don’t get us wrong – it is pure delicious, and we have made it more times than we can remember at this stage – but also, we were starting to feel ready for a new viral foodie dish to try.

And low and behold – this one just might be it – and even better? It also includes delicious, crumbly feta cheese. Yum.

Meet baked feta eggs – the brunch dish that is not only easy to make for a crowd, but that is also bound to go down an absolute treat with everyone you make it for. Having spotted the dish over on first, we did a quick Pinterest search and found there are many variations on the dish, each one as delicious-sounding as the next.

This recipe from is our current favourite – easy to make, tastes like heaven and honestly, we dare you not to want to try this immediately.

Serve with a side of fresh sourdough bread and a fresh, green salad – and guys – when we say breakfast, we also mean lunch, dinner, supper – this dish will work whatever time of day.

Here is what you need:

  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 red pepper, diced
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can fire-roasted diced tomatoes
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
