People are freaking out over this sandwich ‘recipe’ and, yeah OK, we can see why

Jade Hayden

Intriguing.

Sandwiches are known for their simplicity.

At best, you’ll pick one up and it’ll be moist, filled well, and deeply satisfying.

At worst, you’ll get one and it’ll be a slice of Galty and some butter but you’ll still eat it anyway, whatever, it’s grand.

If you’ve ever queued with us (me, I mean me) at a deli after a night out though, you’ll know that our (my, it’s mine and only mine) sandwich selection is questionable at best.

You got your garlic mayo, you got your potato cubes (yes, inside of the bread), your pickle, your jalapeno, your red onion, and your mozzarella.

A stunning mix if we ever did consume one.

We are aware though that sandwiches such as this are not to everybody’s taste.

People like different things and eating a potato/cheese/pickle/mayo hybrid just isn’t on a lot of people’s agendas… and that’s fine but it’s on ours and we will never stop.

Regardless, we do appear to have come across a sandwich ‘recipe’ that’s so questionable, so wrong, and so blatantly offensive that we can’t justify it ever becoming public knowledge.

Because it’s two slices of bread with peanut butter and pickles. And that’s it.

Violent.

It was the New York Times who published this ‘recipe’ too. You’d think they’d know better.

Anyway, the sandwich didn’t go down so well on Twitter.

People were pretty annoyed about it. This is them.

Absolute scenes.

The more we (I) think about it though, the more we’d (I’d) actually be willing to give this sandwich a shot.

It’s simple, it’s got two ingredients that I enjoy, it’s cost-effective…

Next week’s lunch sorted, lads.
