A match made in heaven.

If you are forever feeling guilty that you can only manage a cup of coffee in the morning and no breakfast – we might just have found the perfect solution for you.

Combine your morning java with a refreshing and healthy smoothie, and voila – problem solved – our two favourite morning beverages, all into one nutritious glass.

The best news? It not only tastes delicious and utterly addictive, but it also could not be simpler to throw together.

Even better?

This easy smoothie can be made ahead of time and be ready for you in the fridge when you wake up in the morning.

We found this yummy and simple recipe over on, but a quick Pinterest search alerted us to the fact that there are tons of yummy recipes and variations of coffee smoothies out there, you simply need to find your favourite one.

In the meantime, this simple and straightforward coffee smoothie seems like the perfect place to start.

All you need is:

  • coffee
  • agave
  • protein powder
  • yoghurt
  • frozen banana
  • ice

Now just throw it all into your blender, and you’ll be ready to sip in no time.

Here are some helpful tips shared to make it even tastier:

  1. Use a high-powered blender.
  2. Start with your favourite coffee. The coffee flavour is strong, so don’t use anything you wouldn’t drink alone.
  3. Freeze bananas in individual bags and you will always have one on hand for smoothies. If you use a fresh banana, your smoothie won’t be as creamy.
  4. Don’t have agave? Swap in your favourite sweetener instead, such as honey or maple syrup.
