The award-winning Armada Hotel in Co. Clare has created quite the fine gin if you ask us. It’s the first gin made using Wild Irish Juniper, botanicals that grow in the Burren and along the Clare coast and a whole bunch of other hand-picked botanicals from the Armada Farm itself and Moy Hill Farm. So taking inspiration from both sea and land, the delicious gin is aptly named Mist+Moss, with each batch limited to only 190 hand-numbered bottles, all distilled by Clare man Michael Clancy at Lough Ree Distillery in Longford.
With Mist+Moss being an exceptionally fresh and flavoursome gin, it’s the perfect accompaniment to an evening spent celebrating whether it be a Christmas event or your summer wedding! Know too, that with each bottle purchased, a glorious native Irish tree (alder, birch or ash) will be planted at Armada Farm and while you’re having a very merry festive season indeed, you can celebrate knowing the tree planted on your behalf will benefit the environment we live in. (Hurrah!) It’s a carbon-neutral gin and it’s gin with a conscience!
The gin was tried and tested by the team at the Armada, who selected the final blend and balance of botanicals and also its perfect serving accompaniments. It’s something extraordinary and simply perfect for a party or a wedding.
Very fitting really, as the stunning Armada Hotel won best Irish Wedding Venue earlier this year along with being the overall winner at the prestigious Gold Medal Awards.
