It seems the Dom and Hobbs rivalry goes beyond the silver screen….
Yesterday morning the film world saw themselves trying to crack a mystery after an explosive Facebook post from The Rock. Currently filming the latest instalment of the Fast & Furious franchise, Fast 8, the world’s highest earning actor took a swipe at his male co-stars for their unprofessional attitudes onset.
“Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling – you’re right.”
Who was the candy ass?”, people asked.
“Who could be so silly as to piss off the 6ft 5, 260lbs behemoth that is The Rock? A man with biceps bigger than most people’s head?”
Well it turns out the answer was the 6ft, 224lbs, slightly smaller, yet just as dangerous behemoth that is Vin Diesel.
According to reports in TMZ, The Rock and Vin Diesel have been having secret meeting so they might better understand each other.
Apparently the source of contention lies with a few decisions Vin Diesel has made as a producer of Fast 8, with some of the choices not sitting well with The Rock.
Sources say tensions reached were running so high that at one point it was almost impossible to shoot scenes.
The Rock is also said to be in the bad books with the rest of Fast 8’s cast for revealing so much behind the scenes action with just a week of filming left to go.
Yikes.
We hope they do end up quashing the beef. We’re big fans of both actors and it’d be a shame if this disrupted any future Fast & Furious films.
That said, we wouldn’t be surprised if this is just The Rock employing some good old fashioned wrestling style storytelling shenanigans to get us hyped for a big fight scene in Fast 8.
April 2017 can’t come quick enough.
