Fans of hit TV show Girls aren’t too happy this week as show creator, writer and star, Lena Dunham has revealed that the end is in sight.
The popular programme, which will air its fifth season in 2016, proved to be an instant hit with fans and critics alike from the off, for its humour and handling of a number of different topics.
However, it looks like it may be the end of the road for our favourite girls, as Dunham said it will have to wrap up in the coming years.
“I started working on this show when I was 23. I’m going to be 30, so it kind of feels right that this show kind of sandwiched my 20s and then I go off into the world.”
It looks like after next year’s fifth season, it will head towards a concluding sixth season to air in 2017.
