So Looks Like Marc Forster Won’t Be Directing a World War Z Sequel

It could be for the best.

Director Marc Forster will not be returning to the direct the sequel to the World War Z film, it has been reported.

It may be unsurprising for some considering all the mishaps that happened during the filming of the first movie, including an entire reshoot of the ending that forced to budget to extend to $190 million.

In an interview with Brad Pitt, The Hollywood Reporter mentioned that the director wouldn’t be coming back but that the next installment was in development.

“We are talking about it,” said Pitt.

“We are going to investigate a script. We have a lot of ideas we will cull from. Nobody is writing just yet, but we are compiling our ideas.”

Now if only they’d consider using some decent material from the book…

Who would you like seeing taking on the directing role?
