Seven years after the saga first made it to cinema screens, Twilight star Kristen Stewart has said she would be interested in the idea of a reboot.
Stewart, 25, shot to fame as Bella Swan in the series, based on the vampire fantasy novels by Stephanie Meyer.
Appearing in five movies from 2008 t0 2012, Stewart also embarked on a high-profile romance with her co-star Robert Pattinson.
The actress is currently on the promotional trail for her new film American Ultra. Speaking to Uproxx.com during the tour, Kristen was asked about the possibility of a reboot. She said: “I was so genuinely, heavily entrenched in that, and not in a way that felt like an obligation.”
“Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time. It’s hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it. But that doesn’t mean I want to keep doing it. But if other people? Yeah, sure. To be honest with you: I would be interested. I’d be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn’t emotionally affect me one way or the other.”

Although seven years seems like a ridiculously short time in which to make a reboot of a franchise… tell that to Spiderman or Hulk.
