Never-before-seen footage of Robin Williams voicing Genie in Aladdin has emerged online.
Some of the people involved in the making of the film reunited on a recent episode of Good Morning America and reminisced about the Disney classic.
Director John Musker paid tribute to Williams and said that the part of Genie was written specifically for him.
“We were totally walking down the plank. If he said no, we were going to be in big trouble because the whole concept was built around Robin”.
Co-director Rob Clements echoed this: “There was nobody else who could be the Genie, and fortunately he agreed to do it. He had so much energy and so much passion”.
A ‘digitally remastered’ version of the film, which includes the new outtakes, will be available to buy from October 13th.
