We won’t say no to more Moira Rose in our lives

Catherine O’Hara has declared that she would be keen to make a Schitt’s Creek film and opened up about her how much she enjoyed filming the show alongside her co-stars.

The Home Alone star played the matriarch of the Rose family for six seasons and shared the screen with Annie Murphy and father and son duo Eugene and Dan Levy.

O’Hara is keeping the hope alive for many fans of the show, who have been calling for more ever since it’s final episode aired in 2020.

Earlier this month co-creator Eugene Levy hinted that the show could return in the future if there was enough demand for it.

He told RadioTimes: “There’s nothing in the works right now to be honest, but you know, we’ve never stopped thinking about what might happen down the line.

“We’re certainly open to anything, I think when the idea that is the right idea presents itself we’ll probably act on it, I guess.”

Speaking on the popular US radio show Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa, the 70-year-old actress said: “I hope we do a movie. That would be nice.

“It’s just, it’s so lovely to work with people with whom you’re allowed to collaborate and Eugene and Daniel, you know, collaborated from the very beginning on what I would look like and they were open.

“When I told Eugene I wanted to have a, you know, wild vocabulary and possibly have an inconsistent way of speaking, he said, ‘Yeah, let’s see how that goes,’ and he didn’t say no. ‘What if I wear a different wig in every scene?’ ‘Yeah, Catherine. We’ll look into that. Yeah.’ He made it happen.”

There still seems to be a lot of love and admiration between the on-screen family.

Earlier this month, O’ Hara gave a heartwarming speech about her colleague and longtime friend, Levy, during his Hollywood Walk Of Fame ceremony in Los Angeles.

The comedy went relatively under the radar for the first season, until it appeared on Netflix in 2017 and became a heavily binged classic.

O’Hara played arguably the show’s most popular character Moira Rose, who was celebrated for her playfully brilliant lines and unique and ever-changing dress sense.

Schitt’s Creek picked up nine Emmy awards towards the end of its six-year run, and is considered to be the one of the most successful ‘slow burn’ tv shows ever made.

Fans on Facebook were rejoicing following The Beetlejuice star’s comments about a potential big screen adaptation.

One user wrote: “The best show!!! I love all of them.”

Another commented: “We are all hoping for a Schitt’s Creek movie.”

One other person said: “That would be awesome.
