Cancel your plans because Westlife’s first Irish performance since getting back together is on real soon

Jade Hayden

About time, like.

Last year, Westlife announced that they were getting back together.

It was a momentous occasion for all involved, including the fans who went into absolute overdrive and were totally unable to deal with the whole scenario.

There was tears, there was embraces, there was new music that was actually extremely good (thank god it was extremely good).

There was also the group’s first performance since getting back together. It happened on the Graham Norton Show and it was, of course, glorious.

But what about their first Irish performance? we hear you wail. Surely we won’t have to wait until their 76 Croke Park dates for the lads to do an on-stage key change here at home?

No lads, don’t worry, we won’t because Westlife will be performing during the Dancing With The Stars final next month.

Class.

The Sun reports that the lads will be performing their hit comeback single, Hello My Love, on the reality entertainment show.

And seeing as Nicky Byrne will be already hosting the show alongside Jennifer Zamparelli, he won’t have very far to go.

“Nicky remains committed to DWTS, and has even compromised some of Westlife’s international promo so he could be back in Dublin each weekend to host DWTS — even coming from the Far East,” a source told the publication.

“He must have been knackered but it never showed on screen.”

This exciting Westlife-based news comes just a few days after Mark Feehily announced that he and partner Cailean are engaged to be married.

The singer shared a photo of a couple of glasses of prosecco alongside an open box where a ring would have been.

He later posted a photoset of himself and Cailean spending some time together over the past five years they’ve been together.

This was the first time that Mark shared the identity of his now-fiancé to the world.

Westlife will perform on Dancing With The Stars on March 24.
