Mrs Brown's Boys actor Rory Cowan has signed up for this year's Dancing with the Stars.
The actor said he's thrilled to be taking part in the show because he's turning 65 this year.
He said he wanted to sign up last year, but he couldn't because he underwent surgery.
Speaking about the show, the actor said he wants to go out with a bang before he turns 65.
He told RTÉ that he won't be working on anything else after this because he wants to do as little as possible.
"I'm not going to be doing anything else after this. I'll continue with Fair City for as long as they like, that's a wonderful show to have. But when I'm 65, I want to do as little as possible!" he explained.
The actor said dancing is good for the soul and believes it will be a great way to lift his spirits.
"I just think that dancing lifts your heart. I don't have any expectations of winning this. I've plantar fasciitis. I've had back surgery. I'm a bit decrepit for my age! I'm in good form, but I just know if I don't do it this year, I'll never do it," he said.
Rory Cowan will star alongside Katja Mia, Laura Fox, Davy Russell, and Miriam Mullins in 2024 Dancing with the Stars.
