Vogue Williams praised for brutally honest experience of giving up alcohol

Vogue Williams decided to cut drink out of her diet for three months.

Vogue Williams has opened up about the difficulties she is facing after deciding to give up alcohol. The mum-of-three decided to cut alcohol out of her diet for three months, but it hasn’t been easy.

Speaking on her podcast, My Therapist Ghosted Me, the presenter said she won’t give up alcohol forever.

“To be honest with you, I felt sad last night. My auntie Gina arrived and everyone was having a glass of champagne I kind of felt sad, like I was missing out,” she explained.

Vogue said she really wanted to get involved, but has “put this expectation on myself to not drink for three months”.

The mum said she didn’t think it would be as difficult as it has been. The main thing Vogue is finding hard is feeling left out in social settings.

She told her co-host Joanne McNally that not drinking has even changed her ability to socialise.

“I thought I would be like, oh no, I feel fine, but it’s not like that. I’ve never seen how drunk people get until I’m not drunk. They’re not that much craic. So around half past nine I’m like please god, let me go home.”

Vogue’s co-host praised her for being so honest about giving up alcohol because so many people claim it is incredibly easy.

Joanne quipped: “All we hear is that when people give it up they’re like, oh my god, I’m elated, my life is so good, I feel great, I feel healthy and happy.”

Vogue’s husband Spencer Matthews decided to give up alcohol after the birth of their first child. The former Made In Chelsea star then decided to launch CleanCo, which sells non-alcohol spirit alternatives.
