From ‘duck face’ to ‘peace and pout’, there’s a number of popular poses when it comes to getting camera ready.
There’s a new one in celeb world and it’s been referred to as the ‘fish gape’ and to perfect it, you draw in your cheeks and slightly open your lips, almost like a half-smile.
Quite a few famous faces have given it a go and it’s definitely become popular on the red carpet.
Although Victoria Beckham is no stranger to pouting, it looks like Michelle Keegan is fond of the ‘fish gape’ too.
Speaking to The Daily Mail, Harley Street psychologist Dr Becky Spelman chatted about the rise in this trend.
“For a long time, the fear of giving too much of the artist’s personality away on this public platform (the red carpet) kept a relatively narrow set of rules; stand like this, keep your face like this etc.
“This has led to a trend whereby, rather than be sullen and still, celebrities are being more playful in public.
“The duck face was widely used, but as with many things in life reached a saturation point, whereby it became a negative thing to be associated with by many who wish to retain their edge”.
