Actor Emile Hirsch has been accused of assaulting a female film executive at the Sundance Festival.
The Into The Wild star reportedly got into an altercation with Paramount executive Dani Bernfeld (31) at Tao Nightclub on Sunday and police are carrying out an investigation into the incident.
“Emile was aggressively picking on Dani,” a source told the New York Post‘s Page Six.
“He got even more aggressive and aggro. He pushed Dani up against a table, and then he put her in a headlock.”
Other sources have alleged that the the 29-year-old “attacked her from behind” and put Bernfeld into a “chokehold” shortly after 3.30am.
“He completely blindsided her after he’d been s***-talking and was already led away from her once,” they said.
It’s understood that Hirsch, who was at the Utah industry event to promote new film Ten Thousand Saints, was not arrested but “calmly waited for the police to arrive, and spoke with them until around 5am”.
Park City Police have since confirmed that there is an “active investigation” into the incident.
