This new eye makeup trend is about to replace your eyeliner

HELL YES.

Time for a change.

Whether you’re a feline flick fan, gel liner expert or simply stick to a standard eye pencil, there’s a whole new eye makeup tool to get excited about.

Say hey to the eye marker. You can layer it on as thick as you like or keep it to slim subtle lines.

Although there are multiple options to choose from, Yves Saint Laurent Beauté has just launched the Eye Couture Marker (€29).

Obviously, the fancy name alone is reason to learn more and Lloyd Simmonds, Creative Director at YSL, is all about the versatility of the marker.

“I love this eye marker. It looks great when it’s messed up; it looks great when it’s precise”.

He recommends three looks which you can recreate at home and just look at Cara’s eyes in the above image, swoon.

Go for a graphic winged flick with the Mod Eye, try the Full-On Eye by tracing the marker along your top and bottom lids and if you want to go one step further, use the same technique when the marker is wet a la the Smudge Eye.

Or you could ramp it up another gear and layer a smoky shadow over the marker for a dramatic night-time look.

Of course, if big and bold isn’t your thing, there are slim eye markers to try too and the NYX Super Skinny Eye Marker (around €9) is a handy product to have in your make-up bag, taking your look from day to night with a couple of strokes.
