It’s all about ‘the cut crease’.
Although it sounds complicated, it’s really not and simply means “defining the crease of your eye by adding a second contrasting eyeshadow to your existing shade”.
According to Hello Giggles, the cut crease is the most popular look on Pinterest this year and looking at the photos, it’s easy to see why everyone wants to get on board with this trend.
Sona Gasparian, makeup vlogger extraordinaire, has some good advice when it comes to nailing the look:
“If done right, a cut crease will change your makeup game if you have a medium to heavy fold.
“It lifts your eyes and makes them appear more open”.
My fave thing about the cut crease is how you can create multiple variations of the trend: with a spoon for a sharp, slick crease, with glitter for the perfect festive look, and so on.
