This restaurant in Dublin wants to name a burger after Maura Higgins

The Maura burger.

It’s safe to say that Maura has been making a splash since arriving in the Love Island villa. On more occasions than one, the Longford lass has been hailed for carrying the show on her own.

Her no-nonsense behaviour along with witty and hilarious one-liners have won over viewers (except, we’re not too sure about the whole Curtis situation at the moment).

If Maura does go on to win the show with Curtis – or whoever else she might couple up with over the next two weeks – one restaurant in Dublin has vowed to name one of its most popular burgers after her.

LEON in Temple Bar have pledged to rename its famous LOVe Burger the ‘Maura Burger’, for one day only, if Maura takes home the crown. The Maura Burger will be exactly like the LOVe Burger, but with extra sauce on the side.

There is also an offer which allows any customer who orders a burger, wrap or hotbox, a free “bit on the side” when they say “I got a text from Maura” at the LEON counter or when ordering on Just Eat.

Managing Director of LEON Ireland, Stuart Fitzgerald, said: “It’s the summer of love in LEON. All our customers and team are addicted to Love Island and our favourite islander is definitely Longford native, Maura.

“Our team are 100% loyal to Maura so we thought we’d share the LEON love with our customers and have a bit of fun around the summer’s biggest talking point, Love Island.

“Forget tuna melts, our burgers, wraps and boxes are the perfect food for Love Island fans. We’re happy to offer a free bit on the side to anyone supporting our favourite Irish contestant taking part in the biggest phenomenon of summer 2019.”
