Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have gone their separate ways.
After five months together the couple have called off their engagement, reports TMZ.
Ariana, 25, and Pete, 24, decided that it simply “wasn’t the right time” for them to be together, a source claimed.
They still have love for each other and wouldn’t rule out getting back together in the future, the source continued, but for now it’s over for them romantically.
It’s been a whirlwind couple of months for the pair.
The news that they were engaged broke in May, just weeks after they announced that they were dating.
Ariana was shortly afterwards spotted with a hefty engagement ring that was thought to have cost over $100,000.
They didn’t shy away from the spotlight while together; posting images of each other to Instagram and stepping out together regularly.
They also got a number of tattoos for each other, including matching clouds on their fingers. Pete also had her last name, Grande, inked across his ribs.
The Mirror reports that when he was last photographed in public with Ariana last Wednesday, the bunny ears tattoo he had gotten behind his left ear as a tribute to her had been covered up with a heart.
Ariana, who has a song called ‘Pete Davidson’ on her recent album Sweetener, announced last week that she was taking a break from music to “take care of myself for a little while.”
Her former boyfriend, rapper Mac Miller, was found dead of a suspected drug overdose last month.
