The producers of Love Island appear to work off a pretty small pool of good-looking people.
This year’s contestants Ellie Brown and Adam Collard are pals from Newcastle while Megan and Alexandra know each other from working on a music video.
If that weren’t enough, one of the villa’s newest arrivals has a bit of a history with one of our favourite previous Islanders.
Stephanie Lam, who made her debut on last night’s show, was seeing Chris Hughes until recently, reports The Sun.
“Chris and Stephanie have been dating on and off for six months,” a source said.
“But this was an opportunity too good for her to miss out on so she’s gone for it.”
Chris appeared on the 2017 series of Love Island.
He coupled up with Olivia Attwood and, despite a tumultuous relationship, the pair finished in third place.
They went on to land their own reality show, Cracking’ On, but split up earlier this year after 7 months together.
Chris was caught liking a number of Stephanie’s photos on Instagram while he was still with Olivia but for her part, Stephanie has denied any romance with him.
“I’m friends with Chris Hughes from last year’s series,” she told The Daily Mail.
“We got friendly this year and have been on a mates’ date but we’re just friends.”
Steph also has another pretty random reality TV connection – GBBO champion Candice Brown used to be her PE teacher.
Candice, who won the show in 2016, tweeted that Stephanie was going to “shake things up” in the villa.
Yassss girl!!! Hot as hell, smart cookie and gonna shake things up!! Think it’s coz she had a great teacher! (Yes I taught her, yes I feel old, but yes she’s smart coz of me ?) enjoy beautiful lady! #LoveIsIand @LoveIsland https://t.co/o9rTqp1HVj
