The new channel is set to host shows directly targeted at Irish women.
UTV Ireland, after 2 years of broadcasting is set to be reinvented as ‘be3’.
According to RTÉ, TV3 will remain as the home to shows such as Gogglebox Ireland and Red Rock whereas as be3 will show programmes such as Loose Women and Benidorm.
The changes to UTV Ireland and the arrival of be3 is set to begin from January 9th, as Virgin Media complete a takeover of the channel and plan to rebrand.
Irish TV viewers took to Twitter to point out the flaws of the new female-oriented channel.
