James Arthur has put pen to paper for a new record deal.
The singer, who won The X Factor back in 2012, confirmed the news on Twitter and revealed that his second album is due for release in 2016.
After a crazy 15 months I’m so happy to be able to say that I’ve signed a worldwide deal with a major label and releasing album 2 in 2016.

I want to say a huge thanks first of all to my incredible fans for the love and support you have shown me. Without you.. God knows what. — James Arthur (@JamesArthur23) September 6, 2015
He also thanked his management and publishers before giving a shout-out to Columbia Records with whom he is believed to have signed.
The news comes a year after James, whose most famous song was a cover of Shontelle’s Impossible, left Simon Cowell’s label Syco.
