It seems Taylor Swift is not the only one throwing shade at Katy Perry at the moment…
The Roar hitmaker has found herself locked in a real estate battle with, wait for it, a group of elderly nuns.
Katy stars in the Moschino Autumn campaign.
The singer intends to purchase a convent building in Los Angeles and has secured a $14 million deal with Archbishop Jose Gomez for the property.
However, the five Sisters of the hilltop convent are not parting easily with it, and in the meantime have secured their own sale on the property.
Businessman Dana Hollister has topped Katy’s offer by $1 million and plans on turning the convent building into a boutique hotel.
Katy has publicly feuded with Taylor Swift.
The nuns and the archbishop are now going head to head over who owns the rights to the convent, but Katy has not escaped the battle unscathed.
When the 30-year-old reportedly tried to win the Sisters over by singing a gospel rendition of Oh Happy Day, they were less than impressed.
Speaking to Today, Sister Rita Callanan quipped: “Our days have not been happy since then, I can assure you.”
The nuns were underwhelmed by Katy’s superbowl performance.
The group, who didn’t actually know who Katy was, tuned into her Super Bowl half-time show from earlier this year to find out.
Referring to the pop star’s performance, Sister Rita said: “I thought, is that a way to make money?”
Hmm… seems like they are nun too happy.
