Sunday match fixtures: It’s a good weekend for the GAA

Clodagh McKeon

We love a bitta GAA.

It’s officially that time of year again where the GAA is in full swing and the weekends are packed with matches.

We want to keep you up to date with what’s happening in the world of women’s sports so whether it’s a game of Football or a Camogie clash, you’ll know about it.

There are two Camogie finals set for this Sunday afternoon followed by two Football finals from 2pm – so it’s all go.

Very National Camogie League

Meath V Kerry

Kerry will take on Meath for this Sunday’s first game in Croke Park.

They’ll battled it out for the Camogie National League Division 2A title from 12pm.

That will be broadcast live on RTE 2.

Both teams put on impressive displays throughout the league so there’s no doubt it’ll be a great game to watch.

Their last meeting ended in a 12 point draw.

Cork V Galway

After that clash, we’ll see Cork battle it out with Galway in the Camogie National League Division 1A Final.

That takes place in Croke Park from 1:50pm and will be broadcasted on RTE 2.

Wexford man, Justin Heffernan will referee the game.

Both teams have preformed well in the league.

In their last meeting in March, Galway came out on top by just one point.

Today there’s a chance to secure a first major triumph for Cork since the 2018 All-Ireland final so we expect that it’ll be a tight game.

Cork’s Saoirse McCarthy said she’s looking forward to today’s final. She said: “It’s another day, another chance to play in Croke Park against one of the bigger teams.”

Lidl Ladies National Football League

Antrim V Leitrim

The Lidl Ladies National Football League Division 4 Final will follow the Camogie this Sunday.

Antrim meet Leitrim from 2pm in Parnell Park to compete for the title.

Justin Murphy will referee the game that we expect will be an exciting one to watch.

Clare V Kildare

Next up it’s the Lilywhites who take on Clare in the Ladies National Football League Division 3 Final.

That game gets underway at 6pm also at Parnell Park.

Donegal’s Siobhan Coyle will be refereeing the game.
