Storm Eva- New Warnings In Place For Days Leading Up To Christmas

Ireland looks set to be battered once again by yet another storm. Met Eireann have issued three weather warnings for the country, two of them yellow and one orange.

The storm has been christened ‘Eva’ and is one in a long line of inclement weather incidents over the last few weeks.

An Orange wind warning has been issued for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Clare with southerly winds veering southwest with gusts of up to 120km/h at times. This warning is in effect from Wednesday the 23rd at 1pm to midnight the same day.

A Yellow wind warning is in effect from 1pm to midnight of the 23rd also in Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford. Gusts are expected to reach 100 to 100km/h.

A Yellow weather advisory has been issued for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Clare with severe winds expected to hit the west and northwest coast of the country.
