A five-month-old baby has been killed in a car accident in Co. Westmeath.
According to RTE.ie, the tragic accident occurred on the Athlone bypass shortly after 2.30pm.
The two adult passengers in the car were uninjured and a three-year-old toddler is being treated for injuries sustained in the crash at Portiuncula Hospital.
