EastEnders actor John Altman is looking to claim top spot in the battle for this year’s Christmas number one with his single Real Wild Child (Wild One).
The song will become available to download from Sunday and John (better known as Nick Cotton) linked up with all-female rock band JOANovARC to release the track.
“We’re going all out to beat the X Factor winner because we’ve got a good song,” he told The Sun. “We didn’t want it to be insipid – there are a lot of insipid Christmas records around right now.”
