Prince has announced that he has postponed his European tour following the attacks in Paris last Friday evening.
The singer has revealed that the European leg of his Prince Spotlight: Piano and a Microphone tour will not go ahead.
The news was announced in a statement on the Austria venue’s website which read: “Due to the tragic events in Paris, the tour promoter has decided to postpone the upcoming European tour until further notice.”
The Purple Rain singer was due to take in venues in Austria, Italy, Spain, Holland and France in a European tour from this weekend on into December.
A number of other artists including U2, the Foo Fighters and The Deftones have also cancelled gigs following the attacks.
