Tell Me On A Sunday comes to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in May and we have tickets to give away to the show.

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black’s classic musical, starring Jodie Prenger, will come to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from 1st -3rd May 2016.

It charts the romantic misadventures of a young English girl in New York in the 1980’s who is looking for love. It features songs like Take That Look Off Your Face and the title track Tell Me on A Sunday.

Jodie Prenger, who plays the lead role in the musical, shot to fame after she won the BBC show I’d Do Anything which saw her go on to pay the lead role in the musical Nancy. Since then she’s had a huge West End career and can often be seen on various chat shows on British television.

Speaking to Her.ie exclusively about the show, Jodie said, “It’s a very real musical with issues that I know I can relate to and my friends can relate to. It’s one girl’s journey as she goes out to New York. Long before Facebook or Twitter or any of those things. She goes out in the search of love.

“She goes and finds quite a lot of Mr Wrongs but she still has that fight in her to get back up and that’s what is so lovely about the show.”

About the songs in the show, she said, “Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black write beautiful songs for women. Obviously, they do so for men too, but they are magnificent for female leading songs and they just shine in this show.

“It’s so lovely to have two living legends still so passionate about what they do. It gets you more excited about working on projects.”
