Westmeath barber’s cheeky sign sums up Irish attitude to good weather perfectly

Good weather is the most important...

Rebecca Keane

What a LEGEND.

It’s not often we get good weather here in Ireland, therefore when we do eventually get a bit of good weather we need to make the most of it.

Today was deemed the hottest day of the year, with temperatures soaring up to 27, 28 and even 30 degrees in places and people couldn’t get enough of the good weather.

One barber in particular who just couldn’t miss out on a chance to sun himself was Kevin Glennon from Moate in Westmeath.

Given the gorgeous weather today, he decided to shut up shop. The Proper Chopper, Kevin’s barber shop was promptly shut for the day and his excuse for closing the business temporarily is just brilliant.

Posting the bright yellow sign inside the front door, the sheet of paper bears some ornate, beautiful drawings with the message reading

“Sorry lads, at the beach

“€5 haircuts all day tomorrow to make up for it”

proper

Classic.

Haircut anyone?
