This could come in very handy.
There’s no denying that engagement rings cost a LOT of money, depending on the cut, carat, clarity and colour to name but a few factors.
That’s why any tips and tricks on how to cut costs along the way are much appreciated.
The one we’ve just uncovered comes from The Everygirl, who received a key tip from James Allen, a jewellery company based in the United States.
Their jewellery expert, Johanna Tzur, explains that it refers to the type of diamond you choose and it’s all about the ‘undersize’ diamond.
More specifically, the undersize relates to a gemstone that is just under a standard carat size, for example, 1 carat or 0.5 carats.
There’s a pro tip to keep in mind and in case you’re worried that such a diamond would look different to your regular engagement ring, Joanna says that it looks the same to the naked eye.
Essentially, this means that you’re getting the fab but pricey rock for considerably less, what’s not to love?
