According to science though I couldn't be more wrong, as apparently what height you and your partner are can indicate how happy your relationship will be.
According to Researcher Kitae Sohn, if you're a short woman in a relationship with a tall man your relationship is destined to be a happy one - at least for the woman involved anyway.
As a woman of 5.3ft with a husband who is 6.5ft I have to say I was intrigued to find out more.
The study that was published in Science Direct found that;
"A greater height difference in a couple was positively related to the wife’s happiness.
We thus argue that the husband’s height and its correlation made his wife initially happy, but their influence waned over time.
Nevertheless, the long period of the dissipation indicates a powerful impact of male height on women’s psychology, probably prepared by evolution."
To be honest, as a short person having a tall person around in general, husband or not, is always a positive. It definitely makes reaching things on high shelves a lot easier.
The study does say though that the influence of the height difference wanes after time so while it makes for a happy relationship in the first few years there needs to be more than just feet and inches to make it a long lasting relationship.
In short (no pun intended), height difference might make an impact in the initial years of a relationship but there will need to be a lot of chemistry through if it's going to make it in the long haul.
