One of our very favourite Irish musicians is taking a presenting role at Today FM

We'll definitely be listening in...

Good man Danny.

Frontman of the Coronas, Danny O’Reilly, is to present a new radio show on Today FM every Sunday.

A Different Side will see the talented musician chat to well-known figures from Irish music, sport, TV and radio.

This isn’t the only change either as Hector O’Heochagain will also take on a new show, also to be broadcast on Sundays, entitled  Hector’s Sunday Sitting Room.

These new shows come as Declan Meehan retires after 20 years while Jim O’Neill is also set to take his leave of the national station.

We’re sure Danny will have quite the fanbase…

Alison Curtis’ Saturday Breakfast will change to Sundays and Ed Byrne’s Songs of Praise undergoes a slight change, being brought forward to 7pm on a Sunday.

Nadine O’Regan Songs in the Key of Life goes out on Sunday nights while The Beat Goes On, lead by Kelly Anne O’Byrne, will have a regular slot on Saturday and Sunday nights.

Neil Delamere Sunday Best is here to stay and Phil Cawley’s afternoon shows will continue as usual as will The Sunday Business Show.

Commenting on the overhaul of the weekend schedule, CEO of Today FM, Keith McCormack said:

“We’re excited to announce this new weekend line up and the opportunity to add new talent to the schedule. We’re confident that our refreshed offering can build on previous successes and bring in new audiences.

“The new shows will continue to deliver the great music you’ve come to expect from Today FM, and invite listeners to participate in Ireland’s weekend conversation”.
