One Irish dog is more than ready for today’s All-Ireland final

He's ready to DESTROY the cats...

Rebecca Keane

Today sees the clash between Tipperary and Kilkenny in attempts to snatch the Liam McCarthy cup.

The hotly anticipated hurling match will see thousands flock to Croke Park to support their favourite side compete, while many may take it easy, lay on the couch and just watch the game from home.

When it comes to All-Ireland semi-finals and indeed, the important All-Ireland final, people can be relentless in supporting their favourite player or team, leaving banners and flags flying high out of their cars, houses and windows.

Kilkenny and Tipperary are teams that have a long history as enemies, facing each other many times before which guarantees that today will be certainly a close call.

One dog that has certainly pledged its allegiance is Nunu, a Limerick-based pooch who is more than ready for today’s big match.

Denis Healy, Nunu’s owner posted the dog in all her glory, showing that Tipperary have a very dedicated follower in today’s clash. Nunu looks to be in serious fighting mode as she claims

“Where are them Kilkenny cats just can’t wait.!!!!!”

Sent into us by Denis’ daughter Gemoncé, she told us that Nunu is a year old “shorkie” (Shih Tzu Yorkie cross) and a huge Tipperary fan.

As it happens, this isn’t the first time that Nunu has dressed up for an occasion as she’s established quite a reputation as a doggy fashionista. Her wide range of outfits are made by Gemoncé’s mum and we have to say, she’s got a serious talent.

Nunu will be spending her Sunday afternoon watching the match with her owners and we hope, for her sake that Tipperary clinch the title.
