If blue walls sound a little offputting, you could get tired of them very quickly, blue bedclothes are in with a shout. In conversation with My Domaine, interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn says that blue-grey is the way to go. You can see how this together with white, as he recommends, would create a 'calm and tranquil' atmosphere. Kimberley Ayres is also a fan of blue saying that when it comes to specific shades, duck egg blue works best especially when paired with champagne hues.
Her top tip is to choose a pale shade of the colour you go for, rather than a strong tone as this could be too heavy for the 'chill' atmosphere you're after. You can probably tell that at this stage I'm willing to try anything, blue bedding it is...
