What. On. Earth.
Many people stayed in to watch the Fyre Festival documentary on Netflix this weekend.
I stayed in and watched it last night, and what an actual ride. It was a bizarre chain of events and seemed like at every turn there was something majorly risky around the next corner. It was so, so risky.
Actually, scratch that. It was so, so f*cked up. Every decision that Billy & co made was so f*cked up.
Of course, many other people watched it and they had some thoughts:
Watching #FyreFestivalNetflix and actually shaking – what an absolute shit show from start to finish omfg x

Watching #FyreFestivalNetflix & I am just so sad about the guy who said ” our strategy was to ransack tents” and “piss on mattresses” as well as the guy who said “what could I do to help the girl who was drunk and disoriented, I didn’t know where I was either”. #FyreFestival

My favourite part of the #FyreFestivalNetflix #documentary so far is the guy whose “name” is “Mdavid”. Come on mate, we all know your name is David.

Fascinating on many levels. One of the themes that resonated with me, is the question of where to draw the line between working hard to achieve a difficult goal, versus deluding yourself into thinking that you can hit an impossible target. #FyreFestivalNetflix pic.twitter.com/DYrWNfX5jD

#FyreFestivalNetflix is basically a #BlackMirror episode about influencers.

The fact that he was scamming WHILE OUT ON BAIL is what baffles me, nigga you could’ve just laid low and prolly did probation. But you had to go try and sell Met Gala tickets. MET. GALA. TICKETS. #FyreFestivalNetflix

How JaRule really came out his face to say it wasn’t fraud, just false advertising?? Y’all screwed over local Bahamians! One sweet woman lost $50k of her own savings because y’all didn’t pay her! #FyreFestival #FyreFraud #fyrefestivalnetflix

Man… what puzzles me the most after watching #FyreFestivalNetflix is how Ja Rule is still out and about doing his thing. Isn’t he the co-founder of Fyre? How did he escape unscathed? Also quote of the show – “it’s not fraud… it’s false advertising” WTF ???
