Love Island viewers have stumbled upon a new conspiracy theory regarding Curtis and Amy’s split.
Although Curtis told Amy that his head was turned when the new girls arrived in the villa and that there was something missing from their relationship, some fans think there was another factor in the decision.
As is customary after each episode of the show, people have been sharing their Love Island thoughts on social media and this has led to a suggestion that perhaps the new contestants influenced the professional dancer’s determination to end things with Amy.
They’ve even gone so far as to suggest that Curtis was advised to end things with the former air hostess because she wasn’t popular with the public.
It seems a bit harsh but that hasn’t stopped fans from coming to the same conclusion.
Love island thoughts:
The new girls told Curtis in Casa Amor that he & Amy weren’t popular on the outside and that’s why he’s dumped her.
Michael & Amber will get baxk together he’s just teaching her a lesson. #loveisland

Whatever the reason, it’s fair to say that Amy is having a very rough time of it at the moment and was devastated after hearing how Curtis really feels.
Apparently Curtis was told by the new girls that no one likes amy so that’s why he left her. What a dick. #loveisland

Curtis dumped Amy because the new girls came in and told him the public don’t like her the sly dog #loveisland

@AmberRoseGill #LoveIsland Conspiracy Theory. New girls told Curtis, the public were not rooting for him and Amy. New girls told Michael that he was the public favourite, but didn’t say both Michael and Amber were favourites.Tables turned both boys are now public least favourite.

Others think that Curtis got cold feet when he realised that he and Amy weren’t topping the polls.
They’re of the opinion that he thought this could lessen his chance of winning and so he was playing a game all along?
I know the rumours say that the new girls told Curtis that they (Amy/Curtis) weren’t popular and that’s why he ended it. BUT BUT BUT SURELY CURTIS ALREADY NEW THIS as he and Amy were in the bottom of the public votes?? #LoveIslandUK @LoveIsland @LoveIslandCTV #loveislandpodcast

Michael has too much pride to be perceived as whipped and Curtis realised (along with the popular couple vote) that Curmy wasn’t popular and he needed to change game plan if he wanted to win. #loveisland

We’ll just have to wait and see with more drama sure to be aired in Sunday night’s episode as Curtis shows Maura how to dance…
