It wasn’t really the time or the place.
Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini appeared on Good Morning Britain to promote his new restaurant at the Cannes Film Festival. Richard Arnold, who was conducting the interview, couldn’t resist the temptation to ask about his ex-wife Cheryl following the birth of her baby.
There was no beating around the bush for Richard who said abruptly, “Do you have a message for Cheryl about her baby?”
Poor old Jean was left stuck for words as he tried to deflect the cringe-worthy question. He said, “It’s the 70th Film Festival, we might as well focus on this film festival and making it the best possible. It’s the first time with my venture here and I just want to make this count.”

It was so bad that even the show’s presenters Suzanna and Ben referred to it as ‘awks’.
