Looks like Christmas has come early for One Tree Hill fans.
It has been around six years since One Tree Hill went off the air – and we’ll admit, we definitely miss it.
The drama followed the lives (and extensive rivalry) between half-brothers Lucas and Nathan Scott as they vied for a spot on their high school’s basketball team.
As the show went on, the focus began to shift to the relationships, drama and the brothers’ day-to-day lives – and how they ultimately left their rivalry behind and formed a solid bond.
Earlier this year, there were rumours that the cast may be reuniting after several familiar Tree Hill faces – including Hilarie Burton, Antwon Tanner and Daneel Ackles – shared behind-the-scenes photos of a “mystery project”.
It turned out that it was a Lifetime Christmas movie called The Christmas Contract – so not quite the reunion fans had been hoping for.
However, on Monday, the network announced that there was now going to be a One Tree Hill reunion special airing right after the movie on November 22.
Tis the Season: A One Tree Hill Cast Reunion will reunite Hilarie Burton, Robert Buckley, Danneel Ackles, and Antwon Tanner – as well as Stephen Colletti, who is in Lifetime’s holiday movie Hometown Christmas.
Entertainment Weekly report that the network said there was going to be a “few surprise special guests”.
Basically, it is the Christmas present we never knew we actually needed.
