I Have Nothing… good to say about this disgrace of a performance.
We’ve had holograms of late singers, Michael Jackson and Tupac to name but a few, but when will they stop?
It’s creepy and not entirely respectful to the deceased performers – especially when the holograms are shite.
The leaked video below appears to be footage from the finale of The Voice and shows Christina Aguilera singing Whitney Houston’s ‘I Have Nothing‘, before welcoming out a hologram that’s SUPPOSED to look like the late singer.
Following the leak of the slightly cringy performance, The Whitney Houston estate has cancelled the duet between Christina Aguilera and the hologram of the deceased legend.
Pat Houston, the executor of the Houston estate, told ET that the cancellation was due to the fact that the late singer’s fans deserve the best:
“We were looking to deliver a ground breaking duet performance for the fans of both artists.
“… Whitney’s legacy and her devoted fans deserve perfection. After closely viewing the performance, we decided the hologram was not ready to air. We have much respect and appreciation for Christina, and she was absolutely flawless.”
The performance for NBC’s upcoming season 10 finale of The Voice received criticism before it has even been aired. From the looks of this short clip below, they have a long way to go.
That hologram looks NOTHING like Whitney Houston tho, not even when she was young… @Xtina #mess pic.twitter.com/3lUYx0ea1S

Yikes.
Fans on Twitter weren’t shy of holding back their criticisms of the clip:
That is Whitney Austin. Whitney Galveston. Whitney Corpus Christi — that ain’t no Whitney HOUSTON.
