Welsh rugby international player Ian Gough has appeared in court, charged with assaulting a former Miss Wales model in pop star Dane Bowers’ home.
Ian Gough is alleged to have assaulted Sophia Cahill, who is now engaged to Bowers, on January 5th. He was formally charged with assault by beating. Â The model is a former partner of the rugby player.
The 37-year old, who currently plays for London Irish, denied the charges in court yesterday and has been released on bail.
He is due to appear for trial on July 29th.
