Stacey Solomon reveals she was hospitalised in Jamaica

"We had the worst exit from Jamaica of all time"

The influencer took an unexpected break from social media towards the end of her trip after falling ill.

Stacey explained to her followers that she thought she just picked up the flu but ended up needing hospital care when her temperature wouldn’t decrease.

Speaking on her Instagram stories, Stacey revealed that her sister, who is a nurse, was extremely concerned about her.

“We had the worst exit from Jamaica of all time,” Stacey said.

Stacey said she thought she would be okay, but she got progressively worse as the day went on.

She decided to skip family dinner and rest at their hotel instead, but her temperature increased as the night went on.

Her sister tried to treat her with paracetamol and tried cooling her down, but nothing would work.

They ended up taking Stacey to the hospital to be on the safe side.

She said the medical team at their resort advised her to seek hospital treatment as soon as possible.

Stacey told her followers: “I was perfectly normal, like absolutely fine one minute and then next minute, I’m not joking I was in hospital on an IV drip with an oxygen mask on!

“I’ve never had an oxygen mask in my life. I’m so dry from everything and I just feel so gross,” she added.

The mum is now back in England with her husband, Joe Swash, and their children, but she said she’s still not feeling 100%.

The presenter admitted she is going to take it slow as she recovers, but didn’t disclose what illness she had.
