Sam Thompson: reality TV star, content creator, podcaster, prankster, King of the Jungle, and now, roving reporter

Sam Thompson has ticked off yet another career goal as he has officially joined the ‘This Morning’ team.

The ‘Made In Chelsea’ star was crowned the King of the Jungle after winning ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ last month.

Also this week, the social media personality has been confirmed to return to host the ‘Love Island: The Morning After’ podcast with Indiyah Polack and Amy Hart.

As Sam prepares to join the mid-morning talkshow’s roster as a roving reporter, he has described it as a ‘pinch me moment’ getting to work with his ‘I’m A Celeb’ campmate, Josie Gibson.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of This Morning and the energy and joy the show brings but talking to Josie about how much she loves being part of the This Morning family in the jungle made me want to join the team even more,” the 31-year-old told The Mirror.

“From being a guest on the show in December to now officially being announced as part of team This Morning… it’s a real pinch-me moment. I can’t wait to get started, nothing beats the excitement of live TV!”

Sam’s new gig will see him travel to Manchester for work duties and is the same position that Josie started her career in with ‘This Morning’.

He has proven he is destined for TV, as he secured a whopping 56.64 percent of the public vote to win the reality survival show in December, with speculation that more TV opportunities are in the pipeline for the star.

“There is no one that loves TV more than Sam Thompson, he has proven that throughout his stint in the jungle,” a TV insider told MailOnline.

“The ITV viewers now love him back and after winning I’m A Celeb by a landslide, it makes sense to keep him on the channel and utilise his new profile.

“Producers are keen to get him on the show during days where Josie is presenting and then there’s Marvin Humes too, it’s important for them to nurture their talent once they have it,” the source concluded.

The more Sam, the better, in our opinion!
